Bountiful junior Dalton Mortensen won the boys 5A final in 15:14.2, the fastest time of the meet on the 3-mile course at Sugarhouse Park and Highland High, to help the Braves place fifth overall with 152 points at the Utah High School Activities Association state championships. Mortensen elevated from 10th place last year in 16:04.4 to capture his first state title.
